It just doesn’t seem that long ago, but it was in 1989, that Wayne Piersol opened the store on Mowry Avenue in Fremont across the street from Denny’s Restaurant.
It was a closet, and the 5 indoor shooting lanes were up the stairs. There was a maximum capacity of 5 customers at a time. Many days of the week and weekend, customers were seen standing out the front door and around the corner.
After a short five years, Wayne moved the location to where it is today at 37300 Cedar Blvd., Newark, California.
Fifteen years later, ARCHERY ONLY, has established itself as the No.1 Retail Archery Dealer in Northern California. “Archery Business Magazine” featured Wayne and his store and was awarded the coveted “Dealer of the Year 2008”.

Archery Only – The Pro Shop is a full service archery store with professionals available six days a week to fill your needs. With 10 – twenty yard indoor lanes, the store is host to many events.
Olympic style archery and Bowhunting events take place weekly, as well as supervised instructions for young and old.
On scheduled days, you might surely see the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, a birthday party, the disabled/handicapped and even a handful of “seeing impared”. YES! We also have special events for the blind.
